I have over 20 years experiences as journalist, author, ghost-writer and editor.
Print journalism
I started my career as Consumer Editor on City Limits magazine, a London listings mag before moving to the London Evening Standard where I was deputy editor (then editor) of Metropolis (the youth arts pages). I was on contract to the Daily Mail for several years, writing the popular Self pages (road-testing natural therapies). I was also a contributing editor to ELLE.
I have written for most of the UK national newspapers (Daily Mail, Telegraph, Express, Mirror, Guardian, Times) and a fair number of the glossy women’s magazines (Red, Cosmopolitan, Psychologies, Woman & Home, ELLE, Harper’s etc.). I’ve also contributed to many specialist health titles, including Healthy, Health & Fitness, Here’s Health, Experience Life, Zest, Natural Health and Top Sante.
My work has been syndicated worldwide.
I currently have a regular column in Natural Health magazine.
I am open to interesting commissions
Television and radio
I have made a lot of appearances on TV and radio over the years. A few that stick in the mind (for various reasons) include:
* Smudging Lorraine Kelly on her morning show
* Discussing sex with Esther Rantzen
* Taking Liz Jones to task on Woman’s Hour over her stance on Exmoor
Editorial work and ghosting
I occasionally take on editing or ghost-writing projects. In the past I have worked with many people, helping them to fine-tune their work or, indeed, writing their books for them (with as much or little input as they desire). It’s an interesting process and one I enjoy.
If you think I could help you with your project, do get in touch.
